Labs
- Course software
- Lab 1 assignment as provided by Dr. Bradicich:
Lab#1 consists of going through the LC-3 Manual (LC3WindowsGuide.pdf).
Students are expected to read and understand Chapters 1 through 4, and
demonstrate the step-by-step exercises presented in:
Chapter 1 - creating an LC-3 program
Chapter 3 - running the program on the LC-3 simulator
Chapter 4 - debugging the program
These exercises are a step-by-step tutorial to the simulator that covers
how to write a program (either in bin, hex, or asm), how to create object
files to be loaded into the simulator, and how to debug a program in the
LC-3 simulator by setting breakpoints and stepping through a program.
Grading for this lab is somewhat "pass/fail", since successfully doing the
exercises in Chapters 1,3,4 is all that is required.

These lectures are transfered from the
NCSU
Video archive and may lag behind the real archive
site by a day or two.
Please do not use these if you are off campus.
That only puts more load on our campus Internet link.
However, if every one on-campus uses this links, the folks off-campus
should be able to get a less congested link to video archives
stored at NC State.
