My dissertation was in Natural Language Processing and lead to a research project called GRAPHLING ; a joint project with Dr. Janyce Wiebe. In GRAPHLING, we developed techniques for automatically formulating statistical models of text. My current interests are more allied with teaching. I have worked on the development of several new courses that incorporate project-based learning with Susan Reiser. I am also the Associate Director of Engineering at UNCA. |
