Each class meeting (excluding exams) for the entire semester, we will begin class by asking a random person to report on a new and/or interesting development having to do with computers. This could be a new application of computers or perhaps the development of some enabling technology; the range of acceptable topics is broad. The report should be verbal and something akin to a brief summary; there are no other requirements. So be on the lookout for interesting computer related stories as you read or watch the news, go to classes, talk to people, or otherwise enjoy your day. If you do not come across something interesting in this manner, please check any or all of the following on-line resources:

  1. ACM TechNews
  2. IEEE Focus on Computer News
  3. IEEE News
  4. Science Daily
  5. Information Week
  6. Technology News

All other class assignments will be posted on the Moodle page for this course.
