First, download the following two files and store them in a directory directory.
Now read Chapter 18 of the The Linux Command line: A Complete Introduction.
Use script to start the capture of the log and then perform the following activities.
- Uncompress the .tag.gz file you just downloaded and then delete the .tag.gz file. The directory Sound_PIC12_X.X should remain.
- Compress Sound_PIC12_X.X into the following three formats: .zip, .tar.gz and .tar.bz2. How much space is saved?
- Compress pic12breadboard.jpg using zip, gzip and bzip2. How much space is saved?
- Print the size of the files you just created.
