CSCI 274 is a special topics version of CSCI 254, which augments the usual content of CSCI 254 with a formal laboratory section. At this time, the Department of Computer Science has a proposal before UNCA's APC to make this course, under the new number CSCI 256, a requirement within the Computer Science major.
