Description

This course is an introduction to computer engineering which presents a "bottom-up" view of computation from 0's and 1's to a high-level programming language.

During this course you will learn:

  1. The basic design elements of modern computer architecture
  2. The ways in which low-level programs, such as machine code and assembly language, encode the steps of computation
  3. The process of translating a high-level program to machine code

This course index is for sections 602 to 605 of NCSU ECE 109, UNCA EGM 173.602, and UNCA CSCI 255.001. The instructor for this course is J Dean Brock of the Department of Computer Science at UNC Asheville.
