Homework #9 for CSCI 173

Due 15 November, 1996

There are three parts to this assignment.

Part 1 -- Joining a mailing list

Subscribe and post to the mailing list dean-class, a Majordomo list with an administrative address of majordomo@cs.unca.edu. Detailed information for accomplishing this task is available in Chapter 5 of the text book.

Part 2 -- News groups

Subscribe to the local news group unca.test and post at least one message to that group.

Part 3 -- Mail and news reference in HTML

Create a home page that can be reached via the URL

• http://www.cs.unca.edu/~yourid/talk173.html

and has links that can be used to send email to your bulldog and to read news in unca.test. If you don't know how now, read pages 282 and 283 of the textbook.
