Edneyville Petroglyph
Henderson County
Possibly used for historic
tar/pitch production
This circle and line petroglyph is the largest of any that we have found documented in the literature.  Its diameter measures 212.6 cm, (roughly 7ft).  The design is also slightly different in that it has two V shaped appendages coming off the circle and extending to the edge of the rock.  Additionally, there are no lines radiating out from a central groove.  We believe this was carved with steel tools but don't know its function.
