Holt's Picnic Area
This is an excellent, day-use site for picnicking and fishing. Tables, fire grates and toilet facilities are located in an attractive setting along the shore of Badin Lake.
To get to this site, take Highway 109 North from Troy, North Carolina, and turn left onto County Road 1156 (Blaine Road); then turn left onto Shamrock Road (County Road 1179), and follow it for approximately 1/4 mile; then turn left onto FR 597. Follow FR 597 for approximately 1-1/2 miles to the picnic area which will be on your right.
