On August 1, 2000, Forest Supervisor John Ramey issued Nantahala/Pisgah Forest Plan Amendment 10, incorporating terms and conditions required by the USDI Fish & Wildlife Service to protect and maintain habitat for the endangered Indiana Bat in western North Carolina.
